No bookish connection, just a great speech...
After nearly eight years of a leader who can not speak in complete sentences (or pronounce simple words), I am sorely tempted to support Obomerama simply because listening to him speak does not set my teeth on edge. This was a great speech. If you have not listened to it, here is what a politician *should* be able to do...speak well, clearly and on point.

i know what you mean, i think he's wasting his life becoming pres at this age, what do you do for the next 40? it is just sooooo nice to hear someone articulate make a speech. when i find myself NOT throwing things at the tv, i'm impressed.

As to the Morte, condition is everything. However, assuming you mean the Chatto & Windus, 1912 imprint, retail in in the neighborhood of $125-225 with usual wear...a fair bit more if it is fine.
