Leonard Baskin was a renowned American sculptor, illustrator, and printmaker…and hugely important in late-20th century book arts. This list is largely comprised of proof prints for various book projects, including some touched by him with watercolor.
Here we are, the first Boston ABAA fair since 2019. We look forward to returning with a booth that is both visually stunning and filled with…well…things unlikely to be found elsewhere. From a Saint’s book of Excommunication to a book bound in meteorite, a Presidential campaign skirt made from Harrison banners to smuggled Pushkin and a book bound in human skin and new design bindings and artist books…
The list is long, the booth a double, and we hope to see you there.
The days are shortening, there is a chill in the air..as we approach All Hallows’ Eve and the Boston ABAA fair, please enjoy a small collection of suitably spooktacular material. We are, course, counting down the days till we ride our brooms to the ABAA Boston Antiquarian Book Fair. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
We are pleased to present a few selections of Occult books and ephemera, including recently acquired materials. This is a preview, as we are counting down the days for the return of the in-person ABAA Boston Antiquarian Book Fair. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
WHAT! A face to face book fair! How is that even possible!
The attached catalogue includes *most* of what will be in the booth, though not all...surprises are important. No images. Please ask if you would like. There will be a booth video tour and other social media posts.
Celebrating International Women's Day with a short list of powerful, unusual, and/or remarkable women...perhaps not your usual suspects.
Collection of Bob Trubshaw, editor, author, collector, and British folklorist. Trubshaw has authored hundreds of articles on earth mysteries, sacred sites, supernatural, UFOs, British folklore, English phenomena, gargoyles, and other British lore. He was part of the print zine culture in the 1980-2000s, and with the onset of the internet moved much of his content to online endeavors, including video and podcasts. He has reviewed and collected hundreds of independent publications, zines, and self-published magazines. Exceptional collection documenting the Neo-pagan and earth mysteries movement and underground print culture of the 1980s-1990s in the UK.
A rather lengthy, text only list of book we will have at the physical CA ABAA fair *and* the related virtual fair. The virtual booth (link at the CA ABAA website) is heavily illustrated. We are happy to send images of any and/or host video chats to look at specific books. Just let us know what you would like...
