One of our focus areas revolves around the punk/anarcho sub-culture and counter culture more broadly. Presented here is a small, diverse collection of books, zines, posters, etc. all of which are grounded in one or more counter culture scenes. This week's list features a careful selection of EX LIBRIS bookplates that illustrate occult and esoteric themes. Of note is the bookplate by Virgil Finlay created for Oswald Train and the strange botany of Czech/German artist Karl Hugo Frech.

Apollo 11 landed safely on the Moon on July 20, 1969. Celebrating 50 years of space exploration, our list this week is all about space, lunar exploration, and history of astronomy featuring an exceptionally composed 19th century manuscript on learning astronomy written by a French abbot with a handmade planisphere, couple of Russian (USSR) space race publications in English, a design binding, and large format celestial constellations maps.

As we look forward (literally), we are pleased to share a list of books on divination and the fascinating world of fortune telling. A few notable items are: An 18th century French dream dictionary; First English language edition of The Astrological Tarot by Georges Muchery in dust jacket; 19th century ‘Petit Albert’ grimoire; James Sketchley’s “Conversation” cards, 1750; and various tool of the trade: Tarot and cartomancy decks.
