Binding is the remains of (presumably) the original leather binding, while it is stable in its current condition, rebinding is not unreasonable. Scarce in any condition, the textblock is quite handsome and all the plates are present. Poor [Textblock Very Good+; Plates Very Good+]. Heavy shelf/edge wear, leather missing from boards/spine (original boards/spine exposed), boards partially free from cords (two of three still tight at front and rear), creasing at title page, wear through on title page (presumably from an erasing attempt, though could be a flaw in the paper), light owner inscription on title page (dated 1793); light toning at textblock edges, light toning at fore-edge of tipped in plates, some plates show very subtle moisture stain at fore-edge, 312pp plus 16pp np Index plus 10pp Plates.
