nd [c1908]. Reprint. Original Wraps. First published 1898 and reprinted in 1908, both very challenging to locate (vs. the much more common 1930 Biblion Society reprint).
The book examines sexual activities which do no damage to ladies' health or reputation. There are also discussions of contraceptives and their use, and includes recipes for aphrodisiacs. Included at the end is the short story “Only a Boy, or a Summer Amour,” about the sexual initiation of a 12-year-old boy. There is some indication that Charles Carrington suggests that he may have been responsible for this edition. [Straight, “Charles Carrington,” 133.]
Scarce in any state and a nice copy, noted flaws notwithstanding. Good+ in Wraps. Moderate shelf/edge wear, minor creasing at front wrapper, small closed tears at joints, even toning, half of p75/76 missing (vertical tear), else tight and unmarred. Orange paper wraps, black ink lettering and decorative elements. 12mo. 160pp. Item #10073
