This is the first edition of the novel in book form. The novel centres on a young man, Nicholas Nickleby, who must supp.ort his mother and sister following his father's untimely death. Dickens' third novel, was originally serialized in monthly parts, then issued as a book in cloth. this copy shows all the signs of early printings of the parts, with the Chapman and Hall imprints on the frontispiece and first four plates.
