The Alchemical Engravings of Lambsprinck [Alchemy].

Grand Rapids, MI/Seattle, WA: Phanes Press/Ars Obsura, 1994. Limited Edition. Loose Sheets. First published by Nicholas Barnaud in 1599. It consisted of a series of 15 verses outlining the alchemical process. It was later issued by Lucas Jennis as part of Dyas chymica tripartita, 1625, and this was illustrated with a series of 15 engravings, together with a symbolic coat-of-arms and a frontispiece. The Book of Lambspring is an alchemical treatise devoted to inner and outer alchemy. The tract is structured with a sequence of 15 allegorical drawings identifying alchemical stages.
