Revelation Fortune Telling playing cards.

Cincinnati, OH: U.S. Playing Card Co., c.1916. Later Printing. Loose cards in box. The Fortune deck is for divination purposes, using the same methods and layouts as you would for the standard 78-card tarot deck. The cards have all the oracle-style statements on on the up and reverse sides to the card. Divination and playing cards, or parlor cards marry leisure activity of play with traditional methods of prognostication. A scarce deck in this condition. The image of the menorah illustrates the idea of commercializing Jewish mysticism. Very Good in Wraps. Minor soiling/toning, light shelf/edgewear to box, else bright and unmarred. 53 cards (52 standard cards plus one joker). Full color cardstock with rounded gilt edges. Housed in original gold with verso image of card pasted on slip case, image of temple menorah. Lacks one Joker, and instruction booklet. Item #13649
