Life [Promotional Copy].
Chicago, IL: Life M, 1936. First Edition. Cover is Vol. 1, Issue 1's iconic Margaret Bourke-White inage of Fort Peck in Montana.
Life created at least two promotional versions of the first issue...one relatively common 'half-size' and this miniature. We've only seen one prior copy of this item and there are none currently offered when we last checked. The 'example' edition is mounted on a wee board and on the back, in black ink around the now famous "LIFE" text logo it reads, "SPECIAL OFFER of LIFE for less than 9¢ a copy!" Very Good+ in Wraps. Light shelf/edge wear, glued at spine to 'offer' board, else tight, bright, and unmarred. Color printed wraps. 32mo. np. Illus. (b/w plates). Item #13955
