An early and significant collection, beautifully illustrated and, overall, quite handsome. Very Good+ (Textblocks Fine (one Very Good; one Near Fine)). No DJ as Issued. Minor shelf/edge wear (focused at head and heel), light sunning at edges, spines toned, minor rubbing at spine (Vol. V), paper spine labels toned, Vol. 1 front joint starting, Vol. III shows very minor moisture stain at bottom corner, Vol. V shows moisture stain at upper corner (mostly very minor, but does effect entire textblock), else tight, bright and unmarred. Original green cloth boards, paper spine labels, black ink lettering, red ink decorative elements, frontispiece(s), tissueguard(s), teg. 8vo. 298pp, 287pp, 310pp, 315pp, 328pp, 333pp. Illus.
