Among the best English engravers was Robert Strange, born in the Orkney Isles 1721, and died, after receiving knight-hood, in 1792. His engravings are chiefly after the works of the most eminent Italian artists, this piece is after Titian (Tiziano Vecelli). Very Good+. Light, even toning, very minor spotting in lower right corner of text, else clean. Approx. 16x23" plus mat. Item #6731
