Just before the inauguration of Donald Trump in 2017, Shepard Fairey via Amplifier released
a set of posters called "We the People", featuring Muslim, Latina, and African American women. Fairey, perhaps best known for his Obey print of Barak Obama, inscribed the prints benieth the consistent "We the People" with "Defend Dignity”, “Protect Each Other,” and "Are Greater Than Fear" with the intent in inspire and uplift those whose “needs would be neglected in a Trump administration”. [Fairey] Fairey released “We the People” to the public by making the images temporarily available to download for free...with the intent that they might be used by the masses at various rallies, especially the Women's March. The Kickstarter by Amplifer offered various iterations, notably the 'standard' offset litho posters, a signed version of the offset litho, and a smaller (18x24") silkscreen signed and numbered edition.
